It’s December 2nd, the first Sunday of Advent for Catholics, and a good time to begin to prepare ourselves for the Christmas holiday season. Christmas happens to be my favorite time of year. I love everything about it – the cold, the snow, the lights, the decorations, and the general festive atmosphere that surrounds Christmas. I love giving gifts to others and seeing those gifts brighten up someone else’s day. In light of that, we’re going to be giving good gifts throughout the month of December. Here are some of the good things we’re giving our visitors:
1. FREE eBook
All you have to do is fill out our contact form and we’ll be happy to send you a link to our totally FREE eBook entitled, “How to Write an eBook in 40 Days or Less”. If you don’t have any plans of writing an eBook, you can download and share it with someone you know who wants to be a writer. It’s our gift to you, just a little something to thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
2. FREE letter from Santa for your child or grandchild
Imagine the delight your child will feel when they open up that letter from Santa. These letters will be personalized just for them and will be sent to them before Christmas arrives. The only requirement is that you fill out the contact form with “Letter from Santa” and give us the following information: child’s name, age, address, grade, favorite color, the top 5 things your child requested in his or her Christmas wish list, and the top 5 “naughty and nice” moments you remember from his or her past year. Don’t worry. We won’t be making any promises that Santa can’t keep, and we won’t be storing or sharing your child’s information with anyone else. We can mail these letters if you like, or send them to you in a pdf format for you to download, print, and deliver yourself. It’s really up to you.
3. FREE Christmas graphics
Leave a comment here and include your email address, fill out our contact form and let us know you want your “free Christmas graphics”. That’s it. We’ll be happy to send you a selection of Christmas graphics you can use in your Christmas cards or for any non-commercial purpose of your choice. If you decide to use these graphics on your website, all we ask is that you link them back to our website. Other than that, it’s up to you what you do with them.
We hope you’ll enjoy at least one of these gifts, but much more than that we hope that this time of preparation for the Christmas season may bring you much joy.

I want to create a site where it’s a one stop shop for stories and articles on a particular subject….as long as I give credit to the author or source will I be ok, I will not steal original content, but rather gather it…is this legal?.
You ask a very good question, and I did a little research to help you answer this question. The answer is, at best, undecided. It’s not certain whether or not it is really legal. I will say it is grounds for potential lawsuits, so you might want to be prepared. Your website’s business model would rely completely on other people’s content and if it can be shown that in doing so you have caused a loss of income for the people who actually create the content, they might be completely justified in suing. I’m no lawyer, but I would suggest getting consent before including content on your page, or working out a system of royalties for those authors whose content you use. http://www.niemanlab.org/2010/09/whats-the-law-around-aggregating-news-online-a-harvard-law-report-on-the-risks-and-the-best-practices/
